Ryan Cracknell LLB LLM
Managing Director & Commercial Solicitor
Ryan proudly founded the firm in 2015 and is Cracknell Law’s Managing Director and Head of Commercial Law. Ryan has significant experience in all things related to contracts – from drafting bespoke T&Cs to negotiating multi-million pound commercial contracts.
Ryan has a strong academic background, obtaining Firsts in his Law degree, International Commercial Law Masters and Legal Practice Course. Ryan previously worked within the Commercial, IP & IT team of top 50 UK law firm Mills & Reeve and in-house with a number of international businesses on secondment.
When Ryan is not knee-deep in contracts, he enjoys walking his two golden labradors, 3D printing, playing lead guitar and is partial to the odd round of golf.

James Wilkinson LLB LLM
Director & Head of Corporate
James leads our Corporate team and is based in our Duxford & Cambridge office. James prides himself in using his technical knowhow to get projects over the line quickly and cost-effectively. He thrives on building long-term, rather than transactional, relationships with clients and specialises in M&A, joint ventures and shareholders arrangements, with particular focus on technology businesses and commercial property.
Before joining Cracknell Law, James worked with Kemp Little and Fladgate in London and also spent some time in industry, working on contract automation and drafting technology at LexisNexis, a global legal technology business.
James has a Masters degree in IT and Banking Law, has an analogy for any situation and is a self-confessed Microsoft Excel geek!

Director & Head of Employment Law
Andrew leads our Employment Law team and is based in our Norwich office. He is an experienced, commercial and pragmatic lawyer who advises clients on both contentious and non-contentious matters. This includes disciplinary and grievance issues, advice on restrictive covenants and confidentiality, drafting contracts and the associated policies and procedures. He also advises on redundancies and the employment aspects of business sales and purchases.
Before joining Cracknell Law, Andrew was the in-house lawyer at Norwich City Football Club, serving as part of the Club’s Senior Management Team in the capacity of Director of Legal, HR & Compliance. He has also worked as an Employment and Sports lawyer at top 50 UK law firm Mills & Reeve LLP.
Outside of work, Andrew enjoys watching and (to a lesser extent these days!) playing most sports as well as running around after his young children.
Hannah Lawley LLB
Senior Associate & Corporate Solicitor
Hannah is a Senior Corporate Associate based in our Norwich Office. She has a wealth of experience in corporate transactions including private M&A work (both share and asset deals), IPOs, corporate restructuring, shareholder agreements and LLP agreements, investment work and general compliance and corporate governance advice.
Before joining Cracknell Law, Hannah was a corporate lawyer at top 50 UK law firm Mills & Reeve LLP, where she was renowned for managing volume acquisition programmes. Hannah has a law degree from the University of East Anglia, which included a year studying European Legal Systems at Uppsala University, Sweden.
If Hannah wasn’t a lawyer, she would try and find a way of making backpacking the world a full time job!

Ben Seretny BA LLB CIPP/E CIPM
Ben is currently undertaking a training contract with Cracknell Law. Ben has a varied commercial background including working for global companies such as Johnson & Johnson.
Ben initially completed a degree in Politics and went on to do the Graduate Diploma in Law, a LLB and the Legal Practice Course. He is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals and has completed the CIPP (Certified Information Privacy Professional) and the CIPM (Certified Information Privacy Manager) certifications.
Ben is a coffee connoisseur, a master of accents and a pub quiz extraordinaire. When he is away from the excitement of Data Protection, Ben enjoys spending time with friends and family and watching cricket & football.

Claire Cracknell BSc Hons PGCE
Claire joined Cracknell Law as our Operations Director in 2018. Claire is a highly qualified individual with experience in leading and managing teams along with planning, co-ordinating and hosting large scale events.
Claire gained a 2:1 BSc Hons degree from Warwick University before completing an English PGCE degree from Cambridge University. Having previously been a Head of Department at an HMC Private School, Claire is well equipped at keeping both the team and business in check.
When she isn’t working Claire enjoys spending time with close friends and family, improving her photography skills and reading a good psychological thriller!

Kurt is a Paralegal based in our Norwich Office, assisting with commercial, corporate, intellectual property and food compliance law. Kurt is a law graduate from the University of Leicester, currently undertaking his LPC in Nottingham.
During his time at the University of Leicester, Kurt was director of the Legal Advice Clinic – a free initiative assisting members of the public who otherwise would not be able to seek legal assistance.
When he isn’t working Kurt enjoys watching football, spending time with family and friends and is a keen Ipswich Town fan.

Abi is a Paralegal based in our Duxford office, assisting with corporate, intellectual property and food compliance law. Abi obtained a 2:1 in her LLB from the University of Kent in 2019.
Outside of work life, Abi enjoys unwinding by painting and drawing, or by indulging in a good serial killer series. So much so, in her final year of her LLB, Abi wrote her dissertation on the effect that new technology could have in redefining the way the law determines what is ‘torture’! She is also a self-confessed ‘foodie’.
